Until 1958 it was raced for in the Annual New London to Marblehead Ocean Race, and from 1958 to 1981 in an overnight race in Massachusetts Bay. In 1982 the Lambert Ocean Race was changed to a day race. The Lambert Trophy was awarded to the first finishers in the IOR and PHRF A classes, and since 1987 to the first finishers in the PHRF A and B classes.

THE CHESTERTON BOWL
This trophy was presented to the Eastern Yacht Club in memory of A. Devereux Chesterton to be awarded to the Herreshoff 12 1/2 winning the Sunday Series. In the event there is no longer an active racing fleet of Herreshoff 12 1/2s in Marblehead, the Race Committee is granted the right to place this trophy in competition for other races and classes. From 1983 to 1987 it was given to the winner of the Cruising Division in the EYC Chowder Race. Since 1992 it has been awarded to the winners of PHRF Class C and D in the Lambert Ocean Race.

THE HAZE TROPHY
This trophy, dated 1871, is raced for annually in an ocean racing event as determined by the Race Committee from year to year. It is currently awarded to the winner of the Cruising Canvas Division in the Lambert Ocean Race.

THE PERIWINKLE TROPHY
This bowl was given to the Eastern Yacht Club in 1975 by Frances Pitcher Copeland (who with Periwinkle had won and retired it as the first three time
winner of the Shepard Trophy) as a permanent trophy to be offered annually for such competition as the Race Committee shall determine, preferably solely among club members and between yachts eligible for the Annual Cruise. It is awarded at present to the first Eastern Yacht Club yacht to finish in the racing division of the Lambert Ocean Race.
